John Riley Tanner was governor of Illinois from 1897 to 1901. This impressive Tanner item is a scarce celluloid badge attached to 6 1/2 inch press ribbon. Reverse of badge is a full color “National Union and State Sovereignty” design. Some faint spotting on front of badge, ribbon is in excellent condition.
