That’s a Democratic donkey on this Thomas Dewey for president campaign item. The reason the donkey is there? Because the pin is telling it to get off the grass because Dewey is going to be elected president. As things turned out, the donkey got to stay, but the idea still makes for a great Dewey campaign pin. It’s a popular 1 3/4 inch celluloid, excellent.
