George Washington is pictured on this amazing memorial sulfide item. The 1 1/4 inch sulfide and glass brooch pictures Washington and an eagle above a funerary. Pin is missing from the back, there is a small bit of damage below the glass at upper right. This rare item comes either from around 1800 or possibly 1832, the centennial of Washington’s birth. Either way, it’s a spectacular GW item.
