This is the first time we’ve this design of the James Farmer for Congress pins. Farmer is considered one of the “Big Four” of civil rights leaders, along with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Roy Wilkins of the NAACP and Whitney Young of the Urban League. This 1 1/2 inch celluloid is from Farmer’s unsuccessful campaign for Congress in New York in 1968. Excellent condition. Consignor lowered minimum bid.
