Libertarian Ron Paul first ran for Congress back in 1974. In 1976, he was elected to Congress from the 22nd District in Texas. Paul was a gynecologist and one of his early opponents said Paul won because all the mothers in the district voted for him. This scarce, early Ron Paul pin is a 2 3/4 inch celluloid in excellent condition. This pin brought $114 in Auction #183.
