Tom Dewey first campaigned for the presidency in 1940 and that campaign included this ribbon made for a visit to Wisconsin. It was worn by E.W. Shear, publisher of the Hillsboro Sentry-Enterprise. This rare 5 3/4 inch ribbon with faint stain helped Dewey win the Wisconsin primary.
