Thomas Dewey traveled the country on his train “Victory Special” during the 1948 campaign. Along with Dewey and his wife, the train was home to 41 staff members and 92 journalists. It was campaigning in style and this 2 1/2 inch celluloid was one of a number of different press badges made for the trip. This is the rare orange version. Light area at bottom as printed and manufactured. We have not had the orange version, at least not in the last eight years. A blue version of this pin brought a price of $2,700.
