Defend the 12 March on May Day
Communist Party members were charge with a conspiracy to overthrow the government in 1949. Among the 12 defendants were William Zebulon Foster and Gus Hall. The trial became known as the Smith Act Trial of 1949. This rare 1 1/4 inch celluloid was created for a May Day march in support of the defendants.
