It took 103 ballots to nominate John W. Davis for president in 1924. After all that work, the Democrats apparently ran out of energy when it came to campaign buttons, because there are very few Davis pins out there. This one is an especially rare jugate picturing Davis with running mate Charles Bryan, William Jennings Bryan’s brother. It’s a spectacular 7/8 inch celluloid in excellent condition.
