This rare Missouri coattail pictures John W. Davis and Dr. Arthur W. Nelson, candidate for governor of Missouri. This 7/8 inch celluloid is from 1924, when the Ku Klux Klan played a big role in the Missouri election. Nelson, a wealthy landowner, denied being a member but was careful in his criticism of the Klan and ended up losing by only a little less than 6,000 votes. Pin has Whitehead and Hoag BP, excellent condition.
