A rare and striking suffrage piece, this 1 inch celluloid features a classic design and carries the name of the Congressional Union for Woman Suffrage. The CUWS was founded in 1913 by Alice Paul and others and quickly became a leading suffrage organization. In 1916 it changed its name to the National Woman’s Party. This pin still has original Irwin-Hodson of Portland, Ore., back paper, excellent.
