The Mississippi River Flood of 1927 was one of the biggest natural disasters in U.S. history. Chicago Mayor Big Bill Thompson didn’t waste any time scoring political points from the tragedy. The flood was in March; Thompson hosted a flood control conference in Chicago in June. This rare 2 1/4 inch litho was made for the conference. Excellent condition.
