A significant event in the history of civil rights in the South: the inauguration of Charles Evers as mayor of Fayette, Mississippi, on July 7, 1969. He was the first black mayor of a biracial town in Mississippi since Reconstruction. This 1 5/8 inch litho was made for the inauguration. Excellent condition.
