Jimmy Carter and Ralph Metcalfe appear together on this Illinois coattail poster from 1976. Metcalfe was a congressman famous in Illinois for his record-setting track and field career in the 1930s. He held the world record for the 100-yard dash and won one gold, two silver and one bronze medal at the 1932 and 1936 Olympics. This 13 3/4 by 22 inch poster printed by the Globe Poster Corp. is excellent. A scarce poster from the Bob Rouse collection.
