Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist Bill Mauldin became famous during World War II for his portrayal of GIs Willie and Joe. Mauldin is pictured with his famous creations on a 1 1/8 inch litho pin made for when he ran for Congress in New York in 1956. Alas, Willie and Joe couldn’t vote: Mauldin lost the election by a wide margin to Republican Katherine St. John. Excellent condition. The litho is truly in excellent condition and is an item we have not offered in the last ten years. Our last previous offering sold for $160.
