Singer and civil rights activist Paul Robeson’s concerts near Peekskill, N.Y., were broken up by mobs. This 7/8 inch celluloid pin is a rare item made for Ben Davis, a communist Harlem city councilman running on the American Labor Party ticket who urged voters to remember the riots. Excellent condition. This pin has sold for more than $1,000.
