Oklahoma Gov. Bill Murray was quite a character. In 1932, he was a potential presidential candidate. This 3/4 inch celluloid pin and 1 3/4 inch paper stamp is from that year. The stamp says “Look to the West! Monopoly can be Suppressed!” Murray’s life was colorful from the start. He was born in Toadsuck, Texas, and acquired his nickname while giving political speeches to farmers early in his career. Pin and stamp both in excellent condition.
