Topeka, Kansas, hosted the Alf Landon Notification Day on July 23, 1936. This celluloid pin with 2 3/4 inch felt sunflower with Trapp Novelty Co. sticker on back was made for that event. The big parade drew an estimated 100,000 visitors in 100-degree heat. Pin and sunflower are in excellent condition.
