If there’s one Alf Landon pin to have in your collection, this one is it. The Land On Washington pin showing Landon flying over the Capitol is a true classic. It’s a 1 1/4 inch celluloid with an ingenious design that reflects the times – in the 1930s, aviation was wonder of the age. You could say the sky’s not even the limit for this pin. Excellent condition. A few collectors are old enough to remember Ed Veleber having a small cache of these pins in the 1960's and '70's Aren't we all sorry not to have purchased a few extras. This fantastic A.G. Trimble pin designed by Wade Pipher, was sold for between $25 and $100 by Ed. After his supply was gone we were shocked when it suddenly sold for over $500 in the early 1980's. In the last eight years we've offered the pin eight times. Four timers it sold in the mid $3,500 range and four times under, with the lowest being over $2,400. Arguably the one Landon pin any serious collector should own.
